Now my bestie & I have never been on a long road trip together, we've traveled but not via automobile, & for some reason we always seem to score pretty sweet hotel deals, a friggin steal if you ask me & the best part? TWO Starbucks on the property!. Anyway we packed up the car with luggage, snacks, & beverages and headed to Sin City around 1, which can I mention was SOOOO nice! You see when the husband & I travel to Vegas we are on a strict schedule and usually leave at the crack of dawn to avoid traffic! But bestie & I!? Nope we were on a mission to la la gag, chit chat, shop, eat, and slowly make our way into Vegas. & slowly we did! & Might I add it was CHILLY!
Seriuosly!? Was the ICY necessary!!?? The rest stop was the WORST! The potty was frozen, the water COLD, & that hand dryer thing that is usually oh so warm!? FRIGID!
Fast Forward many hours and we made it to Vegas, that night The Strip was CLOSED because there was a marathon, but we weren't too bothered because of said ICY CONDITIONS! So we checked in the car, the bags, & then ourselves. & lucky for us my awesome lil MOH happened to mention the occasion and the nice man upgraded us to a STRIP VIEW! holla!
So then in celebration we drank all of this!
& then we knocked out! lol What!!? You didn't know we were 80!?
But don't worry the next day we went out on the town(after sleeping til I dont know maybe 4!? HA!) & had some of this from Serendipity while we froze our butts off & the MOH got harassed by our male waiter who thought it was genius to compare his ahem size to our cake size! -_-
Then after that we got all dressed up!
My MOH thought I needed a bling upgrade!
The she topped it off with my Bride crown & we went for Dinner, & drinks!
& we got treated to shots by random strangers & were thisclose to line dancing with the folk from the rodeo convention! Even though it was pretty low key I had a BLAST! It was so nice to just have time with my person/sister/MOH/Best Friend! I am so lucky to have her in my life! <3
After my lil getaway I was in desperate need to be back with my (then) Fiance! It was crazy how much I missed that man. =D
